Batman fans should rest easy knowing that Anne Hathaway is so hard at work for her role as Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman, that she just got a little too dangerous. It was an accident, but while shooting The Dark Knight Rises, the actress accidentally gave one of the stuntmen a little present: a "massive black eye" courtesy of Catwoman.
But how did someone as sugary sweet as Hathaway inflict such pain? Oh, you know, by shoving the BUTT OF A GUN into the guy's EYE SOCKET. No big deal. Of course, because she isn't actually a violent person in real life, the actress took a breather from her vicious, catty character to apologize profusely to the poor stuntman. She even gave him a pen engraved with "Remember no-one packs a punch like Anne."
Well, I don't know that a pen with a lame little phrase like that is the best apology -- doesn't she know that engraved pens are a joke gift? -- it's good that she knows she can't just throw butts of guns around willy nilly and get away with it. On the other hand, is anyone else still surprised that bubbly, smiling Anne Hathaway gave a black eye to a guy who gets paid to withstand pain and danger that mere actors can't face?
